Triple Tickets Day!!
so today i went into Nottingham and bought 3 tickets for some shows later on this year.
The first one will be Reel Big Fish on the 19th of feburary which i personally cannot wait for. The Ska-Punk legends will surely get the room skanking and throwing some serious shapes :D I saw them last year at around the same time, and i was blown away how a band that have been going strong for almost 20 years could still perform so precise and be so entertaining. I'm personally excited for them, and with excellent support from new up and comers Random Hand and Surburban legends, theres no reason not to be excited :) The fish's new album Fame, Fortune and Fornication, is basically a covers album, which is why it has failed to generate much curiosity. The album is basically a Reel Big Fish record, there is nothing surprising whatsoever on the album, but if you love the Fish, then you will love this record.
The next band will be The Gaslight Anthem on the third of March. I said way back in early 08 that this band will be the next best thing. And lo and behold, they have since released sophomore effort The 59 Sound, which was by far my favourite album of 08, graced the covers of Kerrang, Big Cheese, and the NME. i cannot praise these Jersey lads enough. This will be my third time seeing the gaslight anthem, and according to the number of ticket sales so far, thousands of other people are just as excited to see them as i am :D
The last and final gig i bought tickets for earlier are for Watford Punks Gallows on the 12th of May. This will be my fourth time seeing them, and from previous experiences i know they put on a electric, stunning performance, the likes of which i rarely experience at shows. Debut album orchestra of wolves was certainly the best album of 06, and with the new album Grey Britain out in May, this should shoot the watford mob from stardom to super-stardom. Support comes from the fantastic Every Time I Die, who's single 'we'rewolf' i have been bumming on my ipod for the last 4 months.
I will be buying tickets for a shitload more shows in the upcoming weeks, but today i bought three for some very diverse bands which i am truly looking forward to seeing :)
see ya in the pit!

New to this
hi, im Brownie and after months/years of people pestering me, telling me my own blog would be brilliant. I listen to all sorts of music, but mainly Punk rock and Metal. i could list the many bands im into but by the time im finished, i'll have named that many bands it'll be well into five digits! My hobbies include going to gigs, playing a bit of football, playing on my ps3/other consoles.
I'm mostly going to update whenever something important to me has happened/ i stumble home drunk and decide to rant about something i know nothing about. not 100% how this works, so please 'follow' me or whatever the hell its called and give feedback on my posts.
thanks.
